Almost everyone knows what a cappuccino coffee looks like. But what exactly is a cappuccino? And what is it made of? A cappuccino is a coffee drink that today is typically a mix of a single espresso shot and hot milk topped with foamed milk. Cappuccinos are most often prepared with an espresso machine. Curious about how many calories are in a standard cappuccino? A cappuccino is roughly 165 calories when served with whole milk. Do you prefer skim milk cappuccinos? Then the calorie count will probably drop to around 96 calories. Of course, the exact amount depends on the coffee to milk ratio (and the type of milk) and what extras you add to your cappuccino.
To make a TASSIMO cappuccino, you'll need two T DISCS: a milk or creamer T DISC and an espresso T DISC. You'll find both in your Cappuccino T DISCS package. First use the milk T Disc for a lovely layer of milk foam, then use the cappuccino capsule to add espresso. Simply insert the milk pod in your TASSIMO machine, close the head, press the button and wait. Remove the milk pod, insert the espresso pod and press the button again. Your cappuccino will be ready to enjoy in just a few seconds.
Not looking for cappuccino pods? Have a look at all drinks or try coffee, espresso, latte pods, tea, hot chocolate or decaffeinated coffee pods.
In a world full of different coffees, it might be difficult to understand the difference between all of them. A cappuccino and a latte are both made of an espresso base. After the espresso, milk is added in two different forms. A cappuccino has an even distribution of espresso, steamed milk and foamed milk. A latte consists of more steamed milk and just a layer of foamed milk. There is also a difference between a cappuccino and a latte coffee pods in terms of calories. Since the latte has more milk than a cappuccino, it will have a higher amount of calories.
